DCH, our focus is ensuring the highest level of quality care
for residents and visitors in Western Alabama. Our progress
in achieving this goal has been remarkable, and is due in
large part to the philanthropic spirit that thrives within
our community.
We're fortunate to be blessed, not only by the beauty of our
surroundings, but also by the generosity of those who call
it home. Your gifts have helped to enable key technology acquisitions,
outreach for early disease detection, facility expansion projects,
and in several cases, donations have represented the sole
source of project funding. Such investments are helping us
to fulfill our promise of an innovative regional health system
with a broad scope of services that deliver a continuum of
care.
We're also considering upcoming challenges, including a growing
number of cancer patients which reflect an aging senior population
with a greater demand for care, as well as the rising number
of uninsured. Our anticipation of these trends is enabling
us to better prepare our system to support changing demographics.
As the operating climate becomes increasingly challenging
for health care providers, philanthropic giving is essential
to our ability to grow and improve service quality and
offerings. We thank the community- minded individuals
who have embraced our vision of comprehensive, quality
health care, and we ask for your continued support.
