Annual
Fund.
This fund provides continual program enhancements and other improvements to ensure the highest quality of care. Gifts to the Annual Fund better prepare DCH to meet ongoing challenges, such as the recruitment of physicians and nurses, staff training and development for advanced services and procedures, as well as caring for the under-insured. As needs continue to change, so does the purpose of this fund.
Breast Cancer Fund.
In addition to covering the cost of screening, this fund promotes early detection, education and awareness among women and minority populations (regardless of ability to pay).
Educational Scholarship Fund.
This fund offers annual scholarships to students pursuing critical healthcare-related employment shortages, such as nursing and phlebotomy.
Help & Hope Fund.
Targeted toward cancer patients, this innovative fund assists those facing financial hardships and covers the costs of prescriptions, as well as other living expenses (so people don't have to chose between getting the medications they need and buying groceries, paying rent or for utilities).
Heart Fund.
In addition to covering the cost of screening/diagnosis and treatments for patients with little or no insurance, this fund offers advocacy, education and awareness for heart-healthy life styles.
Mental Health Fund.
This fund ensures successful involvement and acclimation of individuals with mental illness within the community by promoting effective training, treatment, and other services and resources.
Pastoral Services Fund.
This fund is responsible for serving the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, their families and employees. It provides for a supportive environment where experiences and feelings can be shared and peace, reflection and inspiration bring deep comfort to those who need it.
Sports Medicine Fund.
This fund delivers healthcare, education and advocacy to the athletes of West Alabama, to include The University of Alabama Athletic Department & Athletic Training Education Program, area high school student athletic trainers, and other sporting and recreational programs (private and public).
Trauma Fund.
This fund provides key resources to enhance programs and technology in order to support changing and sometimes unexpected patient needs.
Tribute & Memorial Fund.
This fund offers family and friends the opportunity to mark a special occasion, express sympathy, or remember and honor a loved one in a meaningful way, while supporting the many needs at DCH.
Women & Children Fund.
This fund targets women and/or children with culturally competent, age and gender-focused disease prevention, and promotes education, awareness and advocacy.
